In November 2011 the "Super City" will be one year old. The amalgamation of Auckland from four cities to one is just another step in a long re-mapping of the city. This exhibition of maps dating from the 1800s to today shows how Auckland has been planned, projected, organised, arranged and designed many times over. See maps from the Auckland Museum library’s rich collections and plot your own story of Auckland onto the interactive mapping table. This exhibition was developed in partnership with Cris de Groot, Unitec Institute of Technology, a team of Unitec computing and design students, and Kathy Waghorn, from the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Auckland.
