Auckland Live is looking for a new MC

We are currently seeking a dynamic, charismatic, entertaining and fun MC to host a diverse range of free public events and programmes produced by Auckland Live. Some events within which we engage an MC / Artist Liaison role include Auckland Live Summer in the Square, our free family winter weekend series Auckland Live Pick & Mix and our international Cabaret Season.

WHAT WE NEED:

In order to apply for work as Auckland Live’s MC you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Presenting experience across live or screen-based platforms
  • Confidence in presenting to a wide range of audience demographics
  • Experience in working with children and young people
  • Literacy and passion for the Performing Arts
  • Experience in Event Management and a willingness to support the successful delivery with our event team
  • Experience in hosting and liaising with artists and supporting them to deliver their best performance
  • Some understanding of Tikanga Māori protocols and confident Te Reo Māori pronunciation is beneficial

CONTRACT DURATION:

  • Part time / casual contract work
  • Applicants must be available for flexible working hours including evening and weekend work
  • The fees for this position will be based on previous experience and the MC / Artist Liaison requirements for events
