Happy Birthday Auckland Live!

In 2014 Auckland Live was launched, with a vision to bring artists and audiences together to create memories to last a lifetime.

Over the last three years we’ve been doing just that, filling our iconic venues with dynamic live arts and entertainment, and cultivating creativity and vibrancy across Auckland. 

Through championing the city internationally, Auckland Live has attracted big-name shows and concerts to the city: who can forget the musicals CATS and Priscilla Queen of the Desert; Prince’s intimate and final NZ performance in the ASB Theatre; the exquisite Nederland’s Dans Theater at The Civic; or Adele packing them in at Mt Smart Stadium?

During this time Auckland Live has grown as a major producer, delivering annually the Auckland Live International Cabaret Season, Auckland Live Summer in the Square, and Auckland Live Pick & Mix amongst dozens of other events and experiences – both ticketed and free - for young and old. 

In addition, Auckland Live’s long standing partnerships with some of New Zealand’s most treasured national and regional arts companies and festivals have flourished and grown. Their successes are our successes and we are proud to be associated with the New Zealand International Film Festival, the Auckland Arts Festival, Auckland Writers Festival and New Zealand International Comedy Festival, as well as welcoming the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra to the Auckland Town Hall, its new home.
