Rushes wins at Fringe

15 Mar 2017

Congratulations to Malia Johnston, Eden Mulholland and Rowan Pierce, co-creators of the beautiful, lush and lovely Rushes which cleaned up at Saturday night's 2017 Auckland Fringe Awards.

Taking top prize - the prestigious Best in Fringe - as well as Best Ensemble, Best Lighting and AV, and being named first equal for the Auckland Arts Festival Special Prize, Rushes is the little production that could, winning over audiences and reviewers during its Auckland Fringe premiere season and growing the mana of its creators.

'Rushes is the perfect festival event, leaving audience members smiling... It's simultaneously relaxing, energising, entrancing, immersive, fanciful, inspiring and entirely delightful' – New Zealand Herald

Auckland Live couldn't be prouder to co-present this sublime work and to toast Malia, Eden, Rowan and the entire Rushes team of dancers, artists, musicians and visionaries who collaborated to present this very special work.
