Community. Gathering. Sharing. That’s what the Pacific Island tradition of kava is all about.

Poet, MC, rapper, and YouTube sensation MELODOWNZ, aka Bronson Price, welcomes you to the circle as he brings his online hit Kava Corner to The Civic Club stage.

Sit back and relax as MELODOWNZ shares space and chats, and drinks kava with inspirational guests. With a soothing drink in hand, the heart-to-hearts will be chill, raw, and honest – with a chance for you, the audience, to join in by asking questions and having your own shell of kava (or beer) in hand.

If the idea of being in a theatre with an Aotearoa icon who brings together different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives for refreshing conversation gets you buzzed, then gather around the tanoa for “one of the joys of the internet” (The Spinoff), live and in-person for the first time.
