Busking at Te Komititanga
We welcome buskers and street performers to help bring energy, creativity and vibrancy to Te Komititanga. If you're interested in performing in this space, you'll need to meet Auckland Council's licensing requirements and obtain acknowledgement from Auckland Live before you begin.
Before you busk in Te Komititanga:
- You must have a current Auckland Council Busking Licence or Street Performance Licence issued by Auckland Council.
- To find out more and apply for a licence on the Auckland Council website: Apply for a Busking or Street Performance Licence
- Obtain acknowledgement from Auckland Live. Email buskers@aucklandlive.co.nz
- Once you have your Auckland Council licence, email buskers@aucklandlive.co.nz to request acknowledgement for the dates you wish to perform in Te Komititanga.
Please include in your email Auckland Live:
- Your full name
- Information about your performance, including genre and, where possible, a website or video link
- Your proposed performance dates or period of activity
Once approved,
- Auckland Live will send an acknowledgement email.
- This acknowledgement serves as permission to perform within the Te Komititanga area for the dates and activity outlined in your request.
Important Information:
- Auckland Live's acknowledgement does not replace your Auckland Council licence.
- You must continue to comply with all conditions of your Busking Licence or Street Performance Licence at all times.
- Auckland Live's acknowledgement only applies to performances within Te Komititanga.
- Carry photo identification - You must carry a valid form of photo ID while performing.
- Follow all licence conditions - All performers must comply with the conditions of their Auckland Council Busking Licence or Street Performance Licence.
