UPDATE 9 FEB 2022: Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki / Auckland Arts Festival (AAF) has announced how the current Omicron outbreak has impacted the 2022 Festival due to take place from 10 to 27 March across Tāmaki Makaurau. All live events and performances in venues, theatres, and outdoor spaces - 51 in total - will be cancelled.
Taking place each March, the Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki / Auckland Arts Festival fills Auckland Live’s venues with an exceptional line-up of theatre, dance, music, circus, and cabaret shows from New Zealand and around the globe.
Auckland Live is proud to be a long-standing presenting partner of this annual event that celebrates the unbeatable experience of live performance. Whether in the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, the mighty Civic, the Bruce Mason Centre, or set amongst the passers-by in Aotea Square, the Auckland Arts Festival shines as a globally-recognised smorgasbord of the finest art and culture.
The 2022 programme is designed to unify, uplift and inspire through a world-class collection of events and performances, bringing some of the greatest artists from across Aotearoa New Zealand to enrich the shores of Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau with live performance.
