Coming to the City This Friday and Saturday

7 December 2017

We are getting ready for these great events and shows that will be happening in the Aotea Arts Quarter this Friday and Saturday:

We anticipate heavy traffic coming into the city, and The Civic Car Park and other CBD-based parking may be full or difficult to get this Friday due to no train services. Please factor in extra travel time when planning your journey.

We suggest you leave home early and relax at Aotea Square beforehand (or afterwards!), where you can enjoy free entertainment, tasty street food and cool drinks discounted* this Friday only at any of our bars. We think that’s the perfect beat-the-heat (and the traffic) combo!

Buses, trains and ferries will run according to schedules but expect them to be much busier. You may also choose to catch a taxi or Uber.

Mobility access and parking

Accessible drop-off points are available at Lorne St, Wakefield St, Greys Ave and Myers St. Limited mobility parking is available on Myers St and at the Civic Carpark on a first come, first served basis.

Street parking restrictions

Parking in the CBD may be full or difficult to get. Please ensure you factor in extra travel time if you are planning to travel by car. The latest updates are available on the Auckland Transport website.
