Coming to the City This Weekend?

18 January 2017

If week two of the working year has got you looking for entertainment options, don’t worry we’ve got you covered – which is increasingly important with the forecasted blustery weather.

Auckland Live’s Summer in The Square is moving into the Auckland Town Hall for our Classical Weekend where you can enjoy a perfect symphony of musical talent, classic experiences and orchestral bliss for free!

We’ve also got the incredibly popular The Art of Banksy, featuring more than 80 works by one of the world’s most elusive, provocative and thought-provoking artists of our time – Banksy; as well as the Usana Conference.

Due to this busy weekend we anticipate The Civic Car Park and other CBD-based parking may be full or difficult to get into this Saturday and Sunday so please factor in extra travel time when planning your journey.

Buses, trains and ferries will run according to schedules or you may also choose to catch a taxi or Uber.

Mobility access and parking

Accessible drop-off points are available at Lorne St, Wakefield St, Greys Ave and Myers St. Limited mobility parking is available on Myers St and at the Civic Carpark on a first come, first served basis.

Street parking restrictions

Parking in the CBD may be full or difficult to get. Please ensure you factor in extra travel time if you are planning to travel by car. The latest updates are available on the Auckland Transport website.
