Auckland Choral is New Zealand’s oldest surviving arts organisation and Auckland’s leading symphonic-scale choir, founded in 1855 and led by Music Director Uwe Grodd. In 2026, the choir presents a powerful and wide-ranging season that reflects both artistic ambition and deep tradition. Performances will include Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man, Britten’s epic War Requiem, and the choir’s much-loved annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah. Through major collaborations and outstanding soloists, Auckland Choral continues to bring choral masterworks to life for Auckland audiences.
