Auckland Live Summer in the Square

Aotea Square is turning up the heat this February with an incredible line-up of FREE events that bring the sounds, energy, and cultures of Tāmaki Makaurau to life! 

Kick things off with Auckland Latin Fiesta (Fri 30 Jan – Sun 1 Feb) and dance your way into the first weekend of Auckland Live Summer in the Square. Then, feel the energy of wāhine-led, boundary pushing music (Thu 5 Feb), slide into smooth grooves and jazzy blues (Fri 6 – Sat 7 Feb), and wrap up the long weekend with the ultimate wrestling showdown (Sun 8 Feb). 

The fun keeps rolling with poetry and spoken word (Thu 12 Feb), an epic hip hop night (Fri 13 Feb), and a vibrant celebration of African cultures (Sat 14 Feb), then soak up the rhythms of Cook Islands log drums, and more (Sun 15 Feb). 

Celebrate Lunar New Year with pan-Asian sounds (Thu 19 Feb), watch skateboarders take on jaw-dropping stunts (Fri 20 Feb), enjoy the bold harmonies of brass bands (Sat 21 Feb), and we sign off with a circus playground finale (Sun 22 Feb).
