MATARIKI FESTIVAL 2020

Ko te ahurei whakanui i te mātahi o te tau e haere ake nei! Matariki Festival begins on 20 June with the winter solstice and ends on 15 July as the Matariki stars rise in the pre-dawn sky, ushering in the Māori new year.

The Matariki season is a time to be with whānau and friends, reflect on the past, remember those who are not with us and prepare for the year ahead. With events happening online and across Tāmaki Makaurau, all Aucklanders are invited to be part of the celebrations.
