Auckland Live is proud to mark 125 years since parliament voted 20-18 for NZ women to have a voice, with a celebration of women.
The Women 20-18 line-up of talks, theatre and music shines a spotlight on the achievements of wāhine in the arts; tells the stories of female achievement and leadership in the creative sector; and fosters engagement with the creative thinkers of today and the future.
'All that separates, whether of race, class, creed or sex, is inhuman, and must be overcome'
- Kate Sheppard, suffragist and social activist
