MEET THE ARTISTS: THE 95BFM KIDS SHOW LIVE

95bFM is an independent radio station dedicated to providing a voice for alternative music and independent journalism. Since 1969, they have been fostering a local arts community that is diverse, experimental, and ambitious which makes 95bFM Aotearoa’s oldest corporate-free broadcaster. 95bFM is primarily run by volunteers, including the 95bFM Kids’ Show host. Finn has been involved with the station since 2015 and has the honour of being the station's youngest broadcaster.

 

Baby Zionov

An icon of Aotearoa’s underground electronica scene, Baby Zionov’s music is deeply inspired by the mid-2000s Internet and blurs the lines between the worlds of pop, dance, and the avant-garde. Her critically acclaimed debut album Henrietta was nominated for Best Solo Act and Album Of The Year at the Student Radio Network Awards in 2022. Baby Zionov is active in her community, curating and producing the Loud & Proud Festival and performing at The Others Way, Newtown Festival, and Cross Street Music Festival.

 

Finn

Finn is the wonderful host of the 95bFM Kids Show. He is a warm, generous host who creates a fantastic environment filled with games & competitions, stories, songs and lots of laughter as well as plain old chat every Sunday morning on the airwaves. He has been involved with 95bFM on and off since 2015 and ~probably~ has the honour of being the station's youngest broadcaster. Probably.

 

Power Nap & the Napsters

Power Nap & The Napsters are synth-wiz Chris Cudby and his dance-loving friends The Napsters! Putting the FUN back into funk-boogie baselines, smiley face house / techno beats, super catchy keyboard melodies and imaginative songs about: making & eating pizza, dinosaurs that play jazz, dungeon adventures, being a cool dawg + more. Including some BRAND NEW tunes written especially for the 95bFM Kids Rave!
