Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland's newest arts festival for young people, We The Young, is coming during the School Holidays. Wondering what show is best for your little one? We've put together a handy guide to help you pick the perfect experience for every age and stage. 

 

For All Ages

Wander through a towering giant chess set, learn some new circus moves, battle it out in a speed painting showdown and groove to some good vibes. These shows are made to be enjoyed by everyone – no matter your age!

For the Under 3's

A gentle, joyful introduction to the world of performing arts, a magical Paper Forest, a wonderful tea party, circus workshops and so much more out in Aotea Square. All great for your tamariki under 3 years old.

For 3 – 10 Years 

Experience an exciting dance piece, listen as te taio (the natural world) is brought to life through waiata, and spark curiosity and creativity through storytelling, these shows are perfect for curious tamariki.

For 10+ 

Find out if aliens really are real, experience Auckland's emerging stars take the stage and refine your talent in a fun theatre workshop. These picks are perfect for older rangatahi and pre-teens ready for big ideas and bold fun.
