What is this programme?
The Presenter Training Programme Aotearoa is a structured programme to engage emerging Presenters in New Zealand with training in the fundamentals and principles of ‘being a Presenter’. This Programme is a partnership with PAC Australia and draws on the skills and experience of New Zealand and Australian performing arts professionals.
The Programme aims to develop leadership among emerging presenters in the New Zealand performing arts ecology, support new ways of thinking when programming, develop pathways for growth within the profession, and nurture a resilient support network of professionals.
Is this programme for me?
The programme offers insights and strategies for New Zealand presenters new to their role and seeking to develop their knowledge, confidence and capacity to work autonomously.
It also suitable for staff looking for professional development to move into a management role. Presenter Training Programme Aotearoa is open for a maximum of 20 participants to develop a strong network and learn collaboratively.
Eligibility:
The programme is designed for participants who programme or run venues or festivals within their community in Aotearoa.
Time Commitment:
The Programme runs for six months commencing with an in-person intensive in March alongside the PANNZ Arts Market in Auckland as well as one in September at APAX in Meanjin/Brisbane, Australia.
Alongside these in-person events there are eight online sessions, dates and times can be seen below. Successful applicants are required to attend all online sessions and a minimum of one in-person intensive. Online options are provided for in-person events as required.
