Every year in Auckland, there are Festivals celebrating a country, like the Lantern Chinese Festival or Auckland Diwali Festival – Indian.
With an ever-growing French community in New Zealand, more than 12,000 French people are living, loving, eating and working in Auckland. Le French Festival creator, Edouard, thought that there is definitely a place for a French Festival: it will gather the French community but also initiate New Zealand people to our culture or for the connoisseurs, reinforce their affection to this so famous and reputed ‘art de vivre’. And so Le French Festival is born in 2017 !

About Le Chef
Le Chef is a French restaurant, located in Vulcan Lane, one of the oldest streets in Auckland, and was opened by Edouard in 2015. Besides the day to day business, we produce events such as French nights, closing the lane for big dinners, Beaujolais Nouveau, and even Bastille Day, willing to shake the French community, galvanize the CBD, spread and share our culture and Art de Vivre all around us!
