Show description

Are you ready to embark on an awe-inspiring journey of the Titanic?

Created by Musealia and Titanic historian and expert Claes-Göran Wetterholm in an Auckland-exclusive season, this experience is an immersive trip through time, bringing you closer to the myths, stories and people on board.

Discover countless stories of its passengers, explore hundreds of genuine artifacts, and step inside life-size recreations of the ship’s interiors, from first-class luxury to third-class simplicity. Photographs, handwritten letters, wayward keepsakes, and other personal belongings will transport you back to 1912 and an audio guide will serve as your narrator, guiding you through the events of that fateful night.

Titanic: The Human Story is far more than a display of historic items: it is a unique narrative experience. Located in the iconic Smith & Caughey’s building on Queen Street, this is truly a special opportunity to unravel the true story of history’s most legendary ship in one of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s most historical, beloved landmarks.

Titanic: The Human Story is brought to you by Musealia and Fever in partnership with Auckland Live, Auckland War Memorial Museum and New Zealand Maritime Museum with support of Auckland Council Events
