Sally Swedlund, Receptionist
Sally Swedlund is a Receptionist based at the Aotea Centre. Part of her job is administrative – supporting the Auckland Live team – and the other part is customer service – helping the public get the most out of all that Auckland Live has to offer.
Born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau, Sally completed a music degree in Viola Performance at Auckland University, going on to post-graduate study in Montreal Canada and a position in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra training programme. She returned to join the Auckland Philharmonia viola section until the lure of the big wide world took her to the United States, where she spent 16 years freelancing and teaching.
Sally’s great love is opera but she has a passion for all performing arts and believes there is no substitute for the live experience. Helping people access live arts is a daily joy for Sally and she is immensely proud of all that Auckland Live does.
