Where do I book a Snug?
To make a booking, go online here. Choose the date you would like to go, click on the buy now button, and you will be taken through Moshtix, the booking site.

Is there a minimum booking requirement for the Snugs?
You will need to pre-purchase a food package to book a Snug. Minimum expenditure is $80* for sessions before 4:00 pm, and $130* for sessions after 4:00 pm.

How do I secure my Snug booking, date and time?
First, you will need to select a date, which will unlock the options to select a food package of your choice. Once you've selected your food, you can choose a time to secure a Snug and your booking. 

Bookings and times
Reservations will close 10 am two days prior for all bookings, except Monday which will close at 10 am on Friday. Once booked, please arrive on time for your booking. Due to the popularity of the Snugs, all bookings are strictly one-hour and timings are monitored.  

Are walk-ups available?
Snugs may be available on the day for walk-up bookings, ask one of our cafe staff upon arrival. However, please be aware food and beverage will be available from Container in the Square Café only, as The Snugs food packages require advance notice for preparation. 

Changing booking times
If you need to exchange your booking time you must request the exchange here. Snug bookings are exchangeable up to 48-hours prior to a scheduled session, subject to availability.

Are The Snugs cleaned between sessions?
Yes, there is time allotted between each booking to allow for cleaning and sanitisation of The Snugs. 

Can I walk into any Snug if it is empty when I arrive?
Whether you have made a booking in advance or would like to make a walk-up booking on the day, please check in with the staff at Container in the Square Café and they will show you to your Snug.

How many Snugs can I book?
There are a total of eight Snugs available per session. You can book multiple Snugs through the booking website, but only one at a time, and they are subject to availability. You will need to purchase a food package for each Snug. 

Do I get a Snug to myself or share with others?
Your Snug is for you and your group's exclusive use for 1 hour. Other groups will not be seated with you. You can have up to six people inside your Snug, but it's ok if you have less than six too - it's a great couples date night! 

Can I order additional food and drinks while I’m in a Snug?
Yes! Just talk to the friendly staff at the Container in the Square Café.

How do I purchase beverages for my booking?
You can pre-order a beverage package when you book your Snug. Otherwise, you can order from our wide range of hot and cold beverages upon arrival. Just talk to the friendly staff at the Container in the Square Café.

Can I bring my own beverages to The Snug?
No, you cannot bring your own beverages for your Snug booking.  Auckland Live have a special liquor license for Aotea Square and The Snugs and all beverages must be purchased at the Container in the Square Café for The Snugs. There is a full menu of hot and cold beverages to choose from. Noting: Auckland Live complies with the Liquor Licensing Authority and prohibits the serving of alcohol to intoxicated or under-aged persons.

Can I bring children into the Snugs?
Yes! All minors must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is a limit of six people (including children) permitted in the Snugs at one time.

I have some dietary requirements; do you cater for me? 
All menu items are prepared in a shared environment and may contain traces of other ingredients.  Where possible we have endeavoured to provide dietary options. Select or state your specific requirements at the time of purchase of your Snug.

What payment options are available?
When booking your Snug online you can pay via credit or Genoapay (NZ).  If you wish to purchase additional food and drinks on the day, the Container in the Square Café accepts cash, credit cards and EFTPOS. Cashless payment is preferred.

What happens if I need to change my booking time, or I can no longer make my booking?
Snug bookings are exchangeable up to 48-hours prior to a scheduled session, subject to availability.

Is ice skating included with my Snug booking?
Ice skating can be purchased separately either by booking here or at the Aotea Square Ice Rink in person. We recommend booking your skating session in a time slot prior to your Snug booking. Please note customers affected by alcohol will not be permitted on the ice.
