Trent Dalton's Love Stories
Presented by Auckland Live in association with Auckland Writers Festival

Thu 16 - Sun 19 Oct | The Civic

Inspired by a personal moment of profound love and generosity, bestselling author – and one of Australia's finest journalists – Trent Dalton spent two months in 2021 collecting love stories from strangers on his sky-blue 1960s Olivetti typewriter, on a prominent street corner in Brisbane’s CBD. Speaking to people from all walks of life, he asked them one simple question: ‘Can you please tell me a love story?’

Now this warm, wise, poignant, funny and moving story about love, in all its guises, has been adapted for the stage and is heading to The Civic this October for a strictly limited season.

Originally commissioned and produced by Brisbane Festival and QPAC for Brisbane Festival 2024, don't miss the Aotearoa New Zealand premiere of this uplifting stage adaptation, exclusive to Auckland.
