Artweek 2020

Artweek 2020

10 Oct - 18 Oct 2020

Aotea Centre, Aotea Square

Artweek is an annual, week-long festival celebrating the visual arts in Auckland.

This year, you’re invited to explore the iconic cultural treasures of central Auckland, including Selwyn Muru’s Waharoa in Aotea Square, Lisa Reihana’s awe-inspiring digital colossus Ihi and The Aotea Tapestry by Robert Ellis to name a few in the Aotea Centre, and a curated line-up of digital works screened on the larger-than-life Auckland Live Digital Stage in Aotea Square.

As day fades into night, you can bask under the gorgeous glow of original projections on the Aotea Centre Wrap, bringing to life the exterior of the Aotea Centre and illuminating the space with mesmerising shapes and forms.

This year, Auckland Live is excited to be a part of Late Night Art along with Auckland Central Library and the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki where you’ll be able to explore the works from 5pm – 9pm.
