TICKETING

Do I need a ticket for a free event?
Yes!  While the event is free, it is preferrable to book a ticket prior to coming. Tickets are day specific and you can enter throughout the day you have booked. If you’ve booked through Ticketmaster, you’ll be in the priority queue. You can walk up and enter without a ticket, but you may have to wait longer to access the event. Book Here.
 

What is the maximum number of tickets I can book?
You can book up to six free tickets per session to view the exhibition.
 

Can I get a walk up on the day?
Absolutely! While ticket holders will get priority entry, walk-ups are welcome and will be admitted as space becomes available.
 

How many people can be in the auditorium at one time?
A maximum of 30 people can experience the exhibition at a time.
 

What is the wait time to get into the exhibition? 
Ticket holders will receive priority entry, however due to the limited capacity within the exhibition, you may be required to wait for entry at the discretion of our Front Of House Team.
 

If I need to cancel my tickets, what do I do?
Simply contact us via online@aucklandlive.co.nz if you can no longer attend and we will cancel your tickets. We will be unable to exchange your booking, so please rebook yourself on the new date you wish to attend.

 

EXPERIENCING WHARENUI HARIKOA

Can I touch the wharenui?
To preserve the exhibition, we ask that you please refrain from touching the wharenui. However, there is a sensory wall in the Theatre Bar where visitors can interact and add wool.
 

Is this suitable for all ages?
Yes, this experience is designed for everyone to enjoy! Just make sure to book a ticket for each person attending with you.
 

What should I wear?
Wear easy-to-remove shoes, as all patrons will be required to take off their footwear before entering the exhibition.
 

Where can I leave my shoes?
As you step into the auditorium, you’ll find a designated area in front of the stage to leave your shoes before heading into the exhibition space.
 

Can I take photos in the exhibition area?
Yes, feel free to snap photos and videos of the wharenui. Don’t forget to tag us @aucklandlive #wharenuiharikoa in your posts—we love seeing your experiences! 
 

Is there seating inside the exhibition?
Yes, limited seating is available inside the exhibition.
 

Can I bring an assistance dog to the venue?
Of course! Certified assistance dogs are welcome when assisting a person with a disability. Please make sure they’re wearing the appropriate coat and have a valid ID card.
 

Can I bring food and drink?
To protect the space, food and drinks are not allowed on stage or in the auditorium.
 

Where can I park?
Parking is available at The Civic Car Park and public transport options can be found at AT.govt.nz.

You can donate when booking your FREE ticket via Ticketmaster or at The Civic
 

Do you accept cash donations?
Yes! We gratefully accept cash donations at The Civic. You can also donate when booking your FREE ticket via Ticketmaster.
 

How can I claim my donation receipt?
A tax receipt can be claimed for donations of $5 and over. To receive a receipt, please email arqueries@aucklandunlimited.com. It will be sent to you within seven working days. Donations are non-refundable. Credit card charges apply.
