Sensational British cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason makes his NZ debut with the Auckland Phil. Due to popular demand, this extra concert, is the opportunity to hear one of the biggest stars of the moment performing Elgar’s exquisite Cello Concerto.
Then experience Sibelius’s heroic Fifth Symphony, opening with the breadth and majesty of a vast, unfolding Nordic landscape through to the triumphant climax with its iconic swan theme.
With a 6.30pm start time and a compact concert format, this concert is perfectly timed so you can enjoy an incredible performance by Auckland’s professional orchestra after work and still make it to an 8pm dinner reservation in the city.
