Alka Yagnik is a renowned Indian playback singer. She is noted in Hindi cinema for a career spanning over three decades. Yagnik is a record seven-time winner from a record 36 nominations of the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer, a two-time National Film Award recipient, and several other music awards. She is recognised as a torch bearer in the film industry in the style of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.
