A Snake Performance: Carrie Tiffany

Talks & ideas

In this clever and subversive illustrated reading, writer and storyteller Carrie Tiffany weaves her Elizabeth Jolley Short Story-winning composition Dr Darnell’s Cure, written whilst researching the early travelling snake showmen of Australia, with her own experience of being bitten by a Western Brown when working as a park ranger. It’s a story of snakes...or, perhaps, of something more sinister.
