It is with great regret that we are announcing the cancellation of the NZ International Comedy Festival 2020.

The decision, made by the NZ Comedy Trust, is the direct result of the Covid-19 outbreak, the travel restrictions now in place for our international performers, and the need to eliminate the risk of spread of the virus within Aotearoa.

 

It’s the hit pop-up at the Fest - the BMC Comedy Club - every Thursday to Saturday with an all-star selection of world-class comedians, fully licensed and seated in the traditional ‘comedy club’ cabaret style.

Each week we feature a fresh line-up of three to four comedians in a two-hour show including;

Week One (Thu 7 to Sat 9 May) : Tom Deacon (ENG), Laura Lexx (ENG) with MC Tony Lyall (NZ)

Week Two (Thu 14 to Sat 16 May): Ray Bradshaw (SCT), Danny O’Brien (IRE) with MC Justine Smith (NZ)

Week Three (Thu 21 to Sat 23 May): Dai Henwood Thu/Fri (NZ) , Paul Ego Sat only (NZ), plus Melanie Bracewell (NZ) with MC Paul Douglas (NZ).

It’s the ideal festival show for your friends, workmates and the social network, but book early as these shows have all regularly sold out over the last five years.
