Rangitoto College presents the best showcase yet!

 

2017 marks five years since the opening of the dance studio at the college. Since then, we have seen dance not only develop within the curriculum but especially through our strong competitive co-curricular groups. Rangitoto Dance is more than a subject but rather a big dance family that comes in all ‘shapes and sizes’.

 

The family gathers once again to showcase items from the Year 10 through to Year 13 curriculums. There will also be items from MAGNUM dance company, ballet troupe and our hip hop crews. The Year 13 class will dazzle with their own choreographic pieces with the stimulus of rituals/cycles. We are delighted to also have pieces choreographed by our two new dance teachers, Jennifer Maxwell and Kat Walker, alongside Ashleigh Morgan. This year we also welcome back one of our dance alumni, Georgia Chandler, who has choreographed a salsa piece for Year 12. Do not miss out on this one night extravaganza!
