Aotea Square

Music

Get ready for soaring synths and majestic melodies! Indie-pop trio KITA are bringing their thick psychedelic grooves to Aotea Square in an unmissable, free outdoor concert as part of NZ Music Month.

Synth-wizard ZUKE (The Black Seeds, Trinity Roots, Troy Kingi) will be shaking up the Square beforehand with lush soundscapes and deep-bass funky goodness. Plus, the performance will be backdropped by live visual performance by Naomi Lamb of The Wanderer Productions

Soak up the vibes, dance away in the open-air atmosphere and immerse yourself in the music - this is a live performance you won't want to miss.

New Zealand Sign Language Interpretation

This performance will be NZSL interpreted by Platform Interpreting NZ.

KITA

Wellington-based KITA bonds the folk, soul, storytelling and guitar of Nikita 雅涵 Tu-Bryant with the sounds of Moog synth and Fender Rhodes from Ed Zuccollo (ZUKE) and the filthy drive and barking psychedelic drums of Rick Cranson.

To experience a KITA gig is to witness a stellar example of 3 strong musical identities ... fusing together to create a synergy and oneness unparalleled on the scene today.” — Adam Page (The Shaolin Afronauts)

ZUKE

Introducing ZUKE: an electronic project from producer and synth-wizard, Ed Zuccollo. The ZUKE concept is an exploratory journey into
the physicality of deep bass, aimed at unleashing the immersive power of large sound-systems.

ZUKE has appeared at many festivals around NZ including Splore, Northern Bass, Twisted Frequency, AUM, Cubadupa, Luminate, Kiwiburn and Ignition. With recent overseas management and release in the making, ZUKE is one to look out for.
