Summer’s well and truly arrived and we’ve got another round of FREE live acts, refreshing drinks and plenty of sunshine to keep you on your summertime buzz!

Music man-about-town Matthew Crawley and folk music connoisseur Finn McLennan-Elliott have spoiled us with a fresh new line-up of DJ’s, folk artists and musicians who will be providing sweet entertainment every Thursday to Sunday throughout the sunny month of January.

Plus, don’t miss stunning performances from New Zealand Opera and the Royal New Zealand Navy Band – they’re taking over the Auckland Town Hall’s Great Hall for two very special concerts!

So, what are you waiting for? Grab a mate and your sunnies and head on down for your summer of free music at Aotea Square.

Thursday 24 Jan, 5pm - 7pm 
Acid folk troubadour Arthur Ahbez joins the creator of one of Flying Out Record’s top twenty albums of 2018 for an eclectic, psychedelic country-tinged late afternoon session. 

DJ Jack’s Hit House (Sydney) 
Friday 25 Jan, 5pm - 9pm 
Sydney’s funtime party DJ’s record collection spans all eras and genres, and he’s renowned for mixes that get the party people absolutely buck-wild. 

DJ ORIKoL (Burundi) 
Saturday 26 Jan, 4pm - 8pm 
The spirit of the dance looms large in DJ ORIKoL’s sets, which channel Afro beats, infectious fun and sweat ‘til you drop style.

DJ Corysco (Brazil)
Sunday 27 Jan, 12 – 3pm
The cutting edge Brazilian groove maestro! A native of Rio de Janeiro, the globetrotting DJ Corysco’s selections are deeply funky and never cheesy. 

Sunday Jazz with Megavibe
Sunday 27 Jan, 3 – 5 pm 
The jazz-tastic side project of bassist Cass Basil vibes player Finn Scholes and drummer Alex Freer.
