AUCKLAND ARTS FESTIVAL regrets to announce that due to AUCKLAND BEING IN ALERT LEVEL 3 the #TĀMAKIBEATS HEATS are not able to take place, and that the FINALS PERFORMANCE FEAT. REI AND PRESTIGE has therefore been CANCELLED.

Your tickets will be refunded automatically, there is nothing to do on your part.  Please allow 10 – 14 working days for your refund to be processed. If your tickets were purchased from a Ticketmaster outlet, you will need to contact the Customer Service Team at Ticketmaster here and follow the instructions. 

 

Multi-award-winning bilingual artist Rei (2020 Best Hip Hop Album, Waiata Māori Music Awards) and Prestige – three-time National hip hop dance champions and fourth in the World – are primed and ready to headline the #TĀMAKIBEATS Finals, and show punters how it’s done.

Over the first two weekends of the Festival, dance crews will go head-to-head and singers will flex their vocal prowess at the #TĀMAKIBEATS Heats, each vying for a spot in the Finals – and to share the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre stage with these stars of the scene.

Up for grabs at the final event is… major street cred! Plus, dance crews will win a studio session with leading choreographer Joshua Cesan (IDCO), and vocalists will nab a session in a recording studio with Rei’s go-to producer.
