Does The Civic Tour have interpreters?
The Civic Tour is provided in English only.
Can I take photos during the tour?
There are plenty of photo opportunities throughout the tour. Your tour guide will advise you whilst on tour if photographs are not to be taken inside any spaces. Video filming is not permitted.
What should I wear?
The Civic Tour includes up to 300 stairs. Flat, enclosed shoes are advised.
What time do I need to arrive before my tour?
It’s a great idea to arrive early, grab a drink and soak up the atmosphere at Stark’s Café and Bar, adjacent to The Civic foyer. Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour to allow sufficient time to assemble so the tour can start on time.
How many people can join the tour?
The group size of The Civic Tour is limited to a maximum of 30 people, split into two groups of 15, per tour. This smaller number helps us to bring you to the best backstage areas possible.
For those with a good level of fitness:
On The Civic Tour you will climb around 300 steps as you move throughout foyers and spaces. While there are railings and a number of rests throughout the tour when the guide shares our stories, you will not have the opportunity to sit for any long period of time during the tour.
