Tu Meke Tūī Ltd and Auckland Live regret to announce that the upcoming season of Tu Meke Tūī: Live on Stage has been cancelled, due to the ongoing restrictions of the Covid Protection Framework.  While we understand this is disappointing news, we are looking forward to announcing a new project from this creative team set to premiere later this year.  We will notify audiences as soon as we are able to confirm details and look forward to welcoming you back to Auckland Live.

The sell-out show returns to the Herald Theatre for four shows only! 

Adapted from the best-selling book Tu Meke Tūī!, join two unlikely heroes, Tere the excitable tūī and Taitū the flightless takahē, as they work together to outwit Stan, the sly stoat, who has a beady eye on our native birds for his dinner.

This beautiful story incorporating physical theatre and puppetry will teach young tamariki/children about friendship, courage, and discovering that sometimes it's our differences that make us truly special.
