Auckland Live is excited to announce it will be opening the doors to the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre for performers of all ages to take over the stage.

For just two days only, Aucklanders will have the opportunity to perform under the bright lights on the big stage that has previously hosted the likes of Prince, Ed Sheeran, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Norah Jones, Nederlands Dans Theater and more.

Anyone and everyone is encouraged to give it a go, no matter what skill level. Whether you’re a budding musician, a dancer in the making, a fierce kapa haka group, a community choir or you’re just wanting to make your on-stage debut. It’s free to take part in, plus you’ll get to take home a recording of your performance – bonus!

Every performance deserves a supportive audience! So, Auckland Live is inviting the public to come along and experience the great Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre and cheer on the performers – free of charge. The variety of talent is limitless, and you never know, you could be witnessing the next big act of Aotearoa.

Auckland Live Manager, Programme Development, Georgina Cervin says, “I will always remember the rush I felt when I first stepped onto the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre stage as a young performer,  and it’s fantastic that all Aucklanders will be given the chance to experience this. Challenge yourself and grab this opportunity, everyone is welcome to have a go.”
