We regret to inform you that due to the move to Covid-19 Alert Level 3 in Auckland, we have made the decision to postpone Auckland Live’s Take the Stage on 22 and 29 August. We hope to reschedule to a future date when we can warmly welcome you to the Aotea Centre and Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre.

Please note registrations have now closed.

Have you ever wanted to perform on the big stage?

The spotlight is focused, the stage is set, and we’re inviting you to have your time to shine on the stage of Auckland Live’s legendary Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre at the Aotea Centre. Yes, you read that right!

For just two days only, Aucklanders will have the opportunity to perform on the big stage that has previously hosted the likes of Prince, Ed Sheeran, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, and Nederlands Dans Theater, to name a few.

Auckland Live is encouraging anyone and everyone to come and perform, no matter what skill level. Whether you’re a budding musician, a ballerina in the making, a fierce kapa haka group, or you’re just wanting to make your on-stage debut. Plus, you’ll receive a video and audio recording of your performance afterwards – bonus!

All you need to do is register your place, get practicing and come along and have some fun.

Every performance deserves a supportive audience! So, invite your friends and whānau or your whole community along on the day to cheer you on. They’ll also get to enjoy performances from other participants - the variety of talent is limitless.

Excited? We are!

Ready to apply?

Read the performers information sheet carefully and complete the short registration form below by midnight on Sunday 9 August.

We anticipate a high number of applications and unfortunately, we may not be able to squeeze everybody in. We will notify you on Monday 10 August if your application has been successful.
