There are multiple events happening in Tāmaki Makaurau this weekend:

Titanic: The Human Story at Smith & Caughey’s Building, 253-261 Queen Street
Saturday 31 October, 9am – 6pm
Sunday 1 November 9am – 4pm
Jesus Christ Superstar at The Civic
Saturday 31 October, 2.30pm, 7.30pm
Sunday 1 November, 1pm and 6pm
We anticipate heavy traffic coming into the city, The Civic Car Park and other city centre-based parking may be full or difficult to get to due to road closures. Please factor in extra travel time when planning your journey.
Aotea Square and The Civic are located in Auckland city centre and are easy to reach by public transport. They are both a three-minute walk from Te Waihorotiu Station, which is served by the new City Rail Link network and the South–City and East–West lines
Buses, trains and ferries will run according to weekend schedules. You may also choose to catch a taxi or other ride share services.

The Civic box office will be open 90 minutes before each performance of Jesus Christ Superstar on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.

There will be mobility parking available at the following carparks, Civic Carpark, Downtown Carpark and Skycity Carpark.
Road closures & street parking restrictions
The following road closures and parking restrictions apply this weekend. Please ensure you factor in extra travel time if you are planning to travel by car. The latest updates are available on the Auckland Transport website.
Road closures
The following roads will be closed from 7pm Friday 30 October to 6am Monday 2 November: Queen St. (Wellesley to Mayoral), Airedale Street, Wakefield Street, Lorne Street (Rutland to Wellesley), Rutland Street, Myers Street.
Parking restrictions
The following roads will have parking restriction in place from 7pm Friday 30 October to 6am Monday 2 November: Queen Street (Wellesley St to Mayoral Drive) Airedale Street, Wakefield Street, Rutland Street, Lorne Street (Rutland Street to Wellesley).
Diversion in place between 7 pm, Friday 30 October until 6 am Monday 2 November.
Auckland Diwali Festival Fireworks
A fireworks display is scheduled for 8.50pm Sunday 1 November in Aotea Square and will last approximately 15 minutes. This is to mark the end of the weekend’s Diwali celebrations.

The Terrace and Container in the Square
The Terrace will be closed to the public on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.
Container in the Square will be open from 11.30am to until 9.00pm on Saturday and Sunday, serving a Diwali menu.
