Prepare for a night brimming with comedy gold!

The 2024 NZ International Comedy Festival with Best Foods Mayo is delighted to kick off the funniest Fest in town with the annual Best Foods Comedy Gala! Join host Chris Parker (our 2018 Fred Award Winner, the NZ Comedy Trust’s 2022 Topp Prize Winner, Taskmaster NZ, Celebrity Treasure Island NZ) for a rock solid show-stopping sell-out, celebrating Aotearoa comedy with some of the finest local and international acts this Comedy Fest. Don't miss the chance to be a part of the comedy magic – one-night-only at Auckland’s Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre at Aotea Centre.

We're stoked to announce six all-star comedians joining the already stacked lineup at the 2024 Best Foods Comedy Gala!

Hosted by Chris Parker, and joining the already announced Heath Franklin's Chopper, Brynley Stent, Pax Assadi, Abby Howells and Takashi Wakasugi is: Nazeem Hussain, Hayley Sproull, He Huang, Alice Snedden, Rhys Mathewson and Eli Matthewson.

Nazeem Hussain is one of Australia's biggest stars and much loved TV and radio personalities. With almost 1.5 millions followers on social media and a Netflix special under his belt, Nazeem is an unstoppable comedy force.

Also joining this top-tier lineup is kiwi darling and all-round comedy superstar, Hayley Sproull. Much loved host of ZM's Breakfast show, host of The Great Kiwi Bake Off and Have You Been Paying Attention? NZ.

Winner of Best Newcomer at 2023 Sydney Comedy Fest, He Huang has been taking the internet by storm with her viral stand-up routine from Australia's Got Talent 2022 (racking up a major 60 million views!) and has recently performed in the Melbourne Comedy Festival and Just For Laughs TV Galas.

UK based writer and comedian Alice Snedden is home for this year's Best Foods Comedy Gala! A 2017 Billy T nominee, Alice is a writer/co-director on Starstruck with Rose Matafeo (BBC/HBO MAX) and the host of Alice Snedden's Bad News (The Spinoff.)

Returning to the Gala stage after hosting in 2022 is Rhys Mathewson. A Billy T Award and the Fred Award winner, Rhys has been delighting kiwi audiences both on and off stage for almost two decades.

Fellow Fred Award winner Eli Matthewson will also take to the stage. Recently Eli's been reading the news on Paddy Gower Has Issues, joined a cult on Celebrity Treasure Island and got cut in the most dramatic Dancing With The Stars exit ever.

This epic night will be filmed live for THREE's Month of Comedy!

Proceeds from the Best Foods Comedy Gala will support The New Zealand Comedy Trust, who run the annual NZ International Comedy Festival with Best Foods Mayo, to continue their work supporting the development of the local comedy industry.
