Richie McCaw is unquestionably one of New Zealand’s greatest ever sportsman, a recent captain of the Rugby World Cup winning All Blacks. He is one of the most recognisable & trusted figures in the public arena, yet little is known of his early life and the particular psychology which has underpinned much of his success. Chasing Great is an intimate film that weaves Richie McCaw’s life story into his final 365 days as an All Black, revealing the determination and mental toughness of an international sporting legend who still sees himself as an ‘ordinary guy’ from small town New Zealand.
This is the World Premiere screening of the film, occurring a few days before its wider release around New Zealand.
