No longer available

Great Hall, Auckland Town Hall

Classical music

The third concert in the Auckland Town Hall Free Organ Concert Series features Kemp English, one of New Zealand’s leading concert performers, and violinist Yuka Eguchi, assistant concertmaster with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

Over the last few years Kemp and Yuka have given over 50 concerts together, delighting audiences with that extra special chemistry that comes from being partners, both on and off the stage. Celebrated in their own right as soloists, they are dynamic together, on a mission to spread the joys of the violin and keyboard repertoire.

About the Organist
Although based in New Zealand, Dr Kemp English is much in demand as a solo organist, collaborative pianist, and specialist fortepiano exponent worldwide. He is an honours graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, holds a Master of Arts degree in Music Performance from the University of York and PhD from the Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide. For eleven years he was Dunedin city organist and Executant Lecturer in Performance at the University of Otago. Kemp English has made many recordings and comes to Auckland following a tour in France.
