The year’s first free organ concert brings together a talented young Australian organist, James Flores, and the Graduate Choir New Zealand.
James will present a variety of solo pieces including works by JS Bach, Eugène Gigout, Felix Mendelssohn and Louis Vierne. The ‘Grads’ under their Musical Director, Terrence Maskell with organist Soomin Kim, will intersperse choral works by Johannes Brahms, Ivo Antongnini, Herbert Howells and John Tavener. New Zealand composers will be represented by Richard Madden and Chris Artley.
This is sure to be memorable concert with one of New Zealand’s leading choirs and the magnificent Auckland Town Hall organ responding to the Great Hall’s superb acoustics. Book early to avoid disappointment.
