The London Conchord Ensemble is one of Europe’s leading chamber groups. They are known for their imaginative programming, which has won them many accolades in their 12 year history. This is their debut New Zealand tour, taking them to ten centres nationwide.
This superb UK collective of musicians includes 2015 audience favourite, violinist Daniel Rowland, from the Brodsky Quartet.
Audiences will be treated to the myriad of colours that are created when strings, wind and piano combine.
They perform Poulenc’s energetic Sextet for Piano and Wind Quintet, and British composer Sally Beamish’s arrangement of Debussy’s orchestral masterwork La Mer for Piano Trio. The concert also features Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony No. 1 (arranged by Webern), and Mozart’s much-loved Quintet in Eb K452 for four winds and piano.
London Conchord Ensemble will also perform a special family concert designed to introduce the joy of live music to even the youngest listeners. Find out more from the link below.
