One of the biggest names to come out of the Chinese hip-hop scene is coming to Auckland.

Masiwei emerged onto the global scene as a member of popular boy-band Higher Brothers under the 88Rising banner. The group have been widely credited for being the catalyst of the fast growing Chinese hip-hop genre.

Since pursuing a solo career, he’s gone from strength to strength becoming the first Chinese rapper to create a theme song for an American drama with a European and American rapper. In 2020, he released hit solo album “Prince Dark Horse” and won the best rap album at CMA2021. Albums “Dark Horse”, “Dark Horse Symphony Season” and “Humble Swag” quickly followed.
