Michael Bawtree is one or the UK’s leading organists and conductors working throughout Europe, the United States, Australia and Asia. He’s known for his exciting performances of music by contemporary composers. This concert on our world famous Town Hall Organ includes great masterworks by Elgar, Bach and a suite of delightful pieces by Mr Bawtree's colleague, Sir James MacMillan. The second half of the concert will be a delightful half hour of dance music from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty and Prokofiev’s ever-popular ballet, Romeo and Juliet.
This programme has something for everyone and will once again showcase the grandeur and beauty of this most magnificent of instruments; possibly the best Town Hall Organ in the world.
