The “Michael Hill” is recognised as one of the most sought-after international violin prizes and the careers of future musical legends are launched here in New Zealand where they go head to head for a prize package valued at over $100,000.

SEMI-FINALS: 7-8 JUNE
Head on down to the Auckland Town Hall Concert Chamber to see the six semi-finalists lead some of New Zealand’s eminent chamber musicians Justine Cormack, Gillian Ansell, Julia Joyce and Ashley Brown in Mozart’s sublime String Quintets. Click here to book.
GRAND FINAL: AUCKLAND 10 JUNE
The Grand Finale will see three finalists compete for top honours performing with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Giordano Bellincampi, in the Auckland Town Hall's magnificent Great Hall.
