The Michael Hill International Violin Competition, one of the world’s most sought-after international violin prizes, launches the careers of future musical legends right here in New Zealand.  

In June sixteen of the world’s finest young violinists will go head-to-head for a prize package valued at over $100,000. In 2019, South Korean Violinist Anna Im took out the prestigious prize. 

The three finalists compete for top honours performing with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in the Grand Final.
