"Every sound she draws is superb" - The Strad, UK

Beethoven’s ten Sonatas for Violin and Piano present a formidable, unique challenge to violinists and pianists.  The variety and technical demands of Beethoven’s sonatas require musicians of exceptional ability and energy.

Michael Houstoun and Bella Hristova fit the requirements exactly. After winning the 2007 International Michael Hill Violin Competition, Bella Hristova has built a reputation as a musician of poise and power. Michael Houstoun’s recent performances of Beethoven’s complete Piano Sonatas met with huge acclaim for fluency.

Hristova and Houstoun will perform three concerts over two days; their collaboration in the Beethoven Mini-Festival will be Chamber Music New Zealand’s landmark musical event of 2017 - one not to be missed!

Finding childcare isn’t always easy – or cheap! The Chamber Music Babysitting Club has been created to ensure that people who love music can still come to concerts, even when they have the added expense of a babysitter.

Join the Babysitting Club Facebook group and whenever you buy a ticket to a Chamber Music New Zealand Kaleidoscope Series concert and book a babysitter for the evening, you will receive a second ticket free.

There will be a prelude event before the concert. Check chambermusic.co.nz for more updates.
