Through song and play, this musical performance celebrates the unique qualities of our noble birds, brings the sounds of nature to life, and highlights the beauty of the Māori language.
Inspired by Māori storytelling traditions, Pīpī Paopao uses proverbs and imagery from nature to encourage little ones to grow, learn, and imagine their own journeys.
Whether flying among tall trees or resting in cool shade, every child is invited to explore, sing, and connect in their own special way.
Te waiata, te whānau me ngā taonga o te taiao ka whakaohooho ake i roto i tēnei whakaaturanga hihiri, tauwhitiwhiti hoki, mā ngā tamariki kei te 3–7 tau me ō rātou whānau.

Mā te waiata me te tākaro, ka whakanui tēnei whakaari puoro i ngā āhuatanga motuhake o ā tātou manu rangatira, ka kawe i ngā oro o te taiao kia ora mai anō, ā, ka whakatau anō i te ātaahua o te reo Māori. E whai ana i ngā tikanga pūrākau o te Māori, ka whakamahi a Pīpī Paopao i ngā whakataukī me ngā āhua o te taiao hei akiaki i ngā kōhungahunga kia tipu, kia ako, kia whakaaro ki ō rātou ake huarahi.
