Statement from the Promoter:

Great news – Steve Hackett and David Roy Williams Entertainment have rescheduled Steve’s New Zealand and Australian dates to first half of next year. Steve and band would have loved to have been here next month but as we all know, that won’t be possible.

The Steve Hackett show at the Auckland Town Hall on 2nd June 2020 has been rescheduled to Friday 21 May 2021.

Even better news… not only will Steve being performing Selling England By The Pound in its entirety, but Steve will now also be performing our favourite Genesis live album – Seconds Out! ‘The Carpet Crawlers’, ‘Afterglow’, ‘The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway’, ‘Suppers Ready’ and more!

Unfortunately, this does mean Steve will now not be able to perform the full selection of Spectral Mornings songs but, wow – what an amazing set to replace those tunes with.

All currently held tickets are valid for the new date.

Where possible, we ask that fans continue to support the Artists by holding onto tickets for the rescheduled concert, but patrons who are not able to attend the show on the new date may apply for a refund prior to June 1 2020.

To request a refund, please contact Ticketmaster by submitting your request HERE prior to June 1 2020.

Thank you to all for your patience.

‘… their arguable high-water mark’ -  All Music

‘…the band’s most adventurous album…’- NME

Steve Hackett, as the powerhouse guitarist for one of the most important progressive rock bands ever, has been a guiding influence for musicians and guitarists for over forty years.

Following the one/two punch of Nursery Cryme and Foxtrot, both driven by the muscular guitars of new member Steve Hackett, Genesis were ready to launch what would become their finest album, Selling England By The Pound.

Easing back on the throttle marginally, and immersing themselves in English whimsy and eccentricity, Genesis delivered just under an hour of delicate prose, wondrous melodies and, of course, the soaring lead lines of Steve Hackett.

Now, forty-seven years after the album’s release, Steve Hackett will be performing Selling England By The Pound in full, in a series of Australian and New Zealand concerts.

In addition, in celebration of the fortieth-anniversary of its release, Steve will be performing his critically acclaimed solo album Spectral Mornings.

And if that’s not enough, Steve will perform selections from his stunning new album At The Edge Of Light, and may even be munificent enough to throw in another couple of Genesis tunes.

Steve’s exceptional debut Antipodean tour in 2017 left audiences stunned by the majestic performances by Hackett and his virtuoso band. How do you top that? Come witness the spectacle of Steve’s incendiary 2020 shows to see how it’s done.
