It’s time to meet the next wave of outstanding artists shaping Aotearoa – the 2022 Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi Laureates.  

Since 2000, The Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi Laureate Awards have celebrated our greatest artists across the disciplines. Now, The Arts Foundation are set to welcome seven new artists into the fold – including the inaugural Toi Kō Iriiri Queer Laureate: an outstanding artist having a monumental impact on New Zealand’s queer arts communities.  

Join us for a formal presentation, followed by an outrageously good party.

Dress: like you’re away from your screen for the first time since 2020. Like the best going-out version of yourself. In whatever you want, plus your dancing shoes.
