The Big Sing, run by the NZ Choral Federation, is held annually in eleven centres. The Auckland regional event is held over three days (11 - 13 June) at the Auckland Town Hall. Here is your chance to hear stunning and varied performances from around seventy-five of Auckland’s secondary school choirs, showcasing choral music presented with skill, diversity, enthusiasm and musicianship. You will hear everything from classical to contemporary art music, from music theatre to gospel, and from Māori and Pasifika to Hungarian and French music. Each daytime session culminates in a gala concert at 7.00pm that night.
Entry to daytime sessions in the Town Hall is $2 (to be paid upon entry into the session).
- Tuesday: 8.50am – 12.30pm, 1.20pm – 5pm
- Wednesday: 8.50am – 12.30pm, 1.20pm – 5pm
- Thursday: 8.50am – 12.30pm, 1.20pm – 4pm
