The Improv Bandits are celebrating 20 years of tickling funny bones with a special one-off show on 3 November. With special guests Colin Mochrie, from TV’s Whose Line Is It Anyway? and BAFTA award-winning director Michael Robinson, they’ll be performing a two-hour extravaganza at Auckland’s Town Hall. The Improv Bandits are famous for their high-energy hilarious show where they dazzle audiences with their off-the-cuff brilliance. They won the World Cage Match Championship in Chicago 2002 where they opened for Colin Mochrie. Now 15 years later they perform side by side in what promises to be the comedy show of the year.

The multi-award-winning Colin Mochrie is an alumnus of the world famous Second City comedy troupe and considered to be one of the leading improvisers in the world. After nine years as a regular on the British improvisation series, Whose Line Is It Anyway? he became a regular on the American version hosted by Drew Carey, which ran for six years and is now featured in a new hit version currently in its fourth season on American TV.

Michael Robinson is a BAFTA-winning director and winner of world championship improv titles in Canada, New Zealand and USA. He has performed with Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles for years and currently performs at Vancouver’s VTSL – one of the world’s leading improvisation theatre companies.
